Maarten Timmerman majored in psychology and started working as an advisor for financial personnel at Vitae Group. There, he was responsible for the recruitment of financial personnel and the coaching of junior advisors. In 1999 Maarten Timmerman made a start with A Sure Talent and became director and shareholder for, what was to become, Talent&Pro. Under the supervision of Maarten, the organisation grew over 400 employees in 2007 and expanded into four countries.

In 2006 Maarten established together with other shareholders, Sure123. A company which guides people into their first steps of freelancing and enterprising successfully. Besides this Maarten is shareholder in Mé-Doc and Financial Five. In his free time Maarten loves to watch movies. His love of film extends to a yearly sponsorship of the Dutch Film Festival by Talent&Pro and even the creation of the Talent&Pro award; a yearly prize handed out to help new starting talent in the film industry.

Maarten has recently become father of a daughter named Zomer and is engaged to Liv.
